01 / SERVER CONCEPT

INTERLUDE.
REMASTERED.

01.01

The Foundation.

L2 Black is an event-driven Lineage II Interlude Remastered server built to deliver a focused, competitive experience with the depth, atmosphere and premium presentation of a modern game world — without losing the identity that made Interlude what it is.

This is not Interlude with a collection of custom activities attached to it. Events, competition, class roles, progression and rewards are designed as parts of one connected ecosystem.

INTERLUDE COREFamiliar identity. Refined experience. EVENT-DRIVENActivities drive the server forward. COMPETITIVE PvP / PvEOne connected ecosystem.

01.02

The world moves again.

Events drive the action of L2 Black. Instead of spending months inside the same familiar farming loop, players are constantly given new reasons to fight, cooperate and move through the world.

Competitive ranked PvP, objective-based PvE and story-driven events bring players back to battlefields, regions and iconic locations that years of conventional Interlude progression have left behind — and give those places a purpose again.

RANKED PvPOBJECTIVE PvESTORY EVENTS

01.03

Everything leads to the top.

Ranking is the core objective of L2 Black. Ranked events award Rating, and that Rating determines each player's position on the leaderboard.

At the end of each Season, the competition reaches its conclusion. Players are measured not by a single match, but by what they have achieved across the Season — the events they won, the way they performed their role and how consistently they were able to deliver when it mattered.

Reaching the top carries more than recognition. The highest-ranked players earn prestige and meaningful rewards that carry real value into the game.

01.04

Roles matter again.

L2 Black keeps the foundations and class identity of Interlude while making targeted changes where years of conventional PvP-server design have pushed entire roles out of competitive play.

The goal is not to make every class interchangeable. It is to make class choice, party composition and role execution matter again. When was the last time a Bladedancer was genuinely necessary in a competitive PvP composition? When was the last time a Prophet could dictate the rhythm of a fight instead of existing only as an external buff source?

A strong party is not defined only by raw damage. The right setup, complementary classes and players who understand their role can decide a match — and ultimately decide who reaches the top of the leaderboard.

Around that Interlude core, a modernized interface and carefully selected usability improvements remove unnecessary friction without turning the game into something else.

04 / EVENTS & MATCH SCORE

EVENTS &
MATCH SCORE.

Continuous events, measured participation and performance-based rewards form the core action loop of L2 Black.

04.01

Event Overview.

MAIN EVENTS24 / 7 EVENT20 MIN RE-SUPPLY & REGROUP10 MIN
  • The L2 Black Event Engine is one of the most powerful and deeply implemented event systems built for Lineage II. It drives the server's core action loop through continuous organized activity rather than a traditional open-world grind loop.
  • Main Events run 24/7 in repeating 30-minute cycles: 20 minutes of event gameplay followed by 10 minutes for re-supply and regrouping.
  • The Main Event rotation spans PvP, PvE, story-driven, objective-based and progressive encounters without locking the server into a single style of play.
  • Players can register solo or with a premade party of 2–9 players.
  • Incomplete premade parties can be completed by the matchmaker in both Ranked and Unranked Events, filling open party slots with needed class archetypes when suitable players are available. In Ranked Events, entering with a complete party is mandatory.
  • Every valid participant receives an event reward based on the event result. A minimum 125 / 500 Match Score is required to qualify as a valid participant.
  • The MVP of each event receives an additional reward.
  • Events can be Ranked or Unranked. In Ranked Events, Match Score contributes to the Rating used to climb the leaderboard.
  • Deathmatch runs 24/7 in parallel with Main Events. Its arena changes every 30 minutes and rewards players directly for kills.

04.03

Main PvP Events.

Every Main PvP Event is scored on a 500-point Match Score system that measures meaningful participation throughout the match. A victory awards 80 points, while a draw awards 40. To qualify as a valid participant and receive the Match Reward, a player must reach at least 125 / 500.

Simply being present is not enough. Remaining AFK, avoiding combat or staying active at the base without contributing will not secure the required score. Your contribution is evaluated according to your Class Archetype and the role your class is expected to perform.

CLASS ARCHETYPES

Your class determines how contribution is measured.

Players are evaluated against the responsibilities of their class archetype, so different roles are rewarded for the contribution they are built to provide.

Role focus: effective damage, kill participation, assists, objective contribution and survival.

Role focus: combat support uptime, support assists, debuffs and crowd control, teamfight presence, rebuff/recovery support and survival.

Role focus: effective healing, critical saves, support assists, teamfight presence and survival.

Role focus: useful damage taken, crowd control and disables, objective presence, peel/protection, assist participation and survival.

04.04

Deathmatch.

  • Deathmatch runs in parallel with the Main Event rotation and can be joined instantly without a registration period.
  • All participants have their identity hidden under the shared name “Deathmatch” and a common costume skin.
  • Each kill rewards Adena. Earnings are paid out either at the end of the current 30-minute cycle or when the player leaves the arena.
  • Deathmatch is not a Ranked Event and does not grant XP.

04.05

Main PvE Events.

L2 Black Main PvE Events range from objective-driven activities and story encounters to dedicated raid instances and larger thematic event series.

OBJECTIVE PvE

Objective PvE can provide gameplay-based alternatives to rewards that are also available through server shops, allowing players to save Coins and Adena. One example is gathering Monk's Scriptures and exchanging them with Gremory for Blessed Enchant Scrolls.

STORY EVENTS

Story-driven PvE encounters place the fight inside a more structured scenario rather than a simple farming loop. Examples include Freya and Tauti.

RAID BOSS INSTANCES

Dedicated PvE instances focus on raid-boss encounters and coordinated group play, including experiences such as Inner Messiah and Twin Towers.

EVENT SERIES

Fight Against Giants

A larger PvE series built around independent encounters in Cruma Tower, Giant's Cave and Superion. The zones can be played independently and in any order, with their own quest items and raid-boss objectives.

CRUMA TOWERGIANT'S CAVESUPERION

The ultimate objective of Fight Against Giants is Helios — a full-scale Epic Raid Boss with Epic drops and the only non-competitive Epic Raid Boss in L2 Black.

04.06

Instanced Epic Raid Bosses.

Classic Epic Raid Boss encounters are brought into a controlled instanced battleground where rival clans fight over the same boss at the same time.

REGISTRATIONCOMMAND CHANNEL CAPACITYMAX 50 PPL RESTRICTIONSAME CLAN
01

Register as a Command Channel.

Command Channels register for the encounter and enter the instance together. Each Command Channel can include up to 50 players, all from the same clan.

02

Position before the fight.

Registered groups receive a short preparation window inside the instance to position before combat begins.

03

PvP and the Epic Boss are live together.

When the encounter starts, the Epic Raid Boss spawns and becomes immediately attackable by every registered group. Rival Command Channels can fight each other while attacking the boss.

04

Survive, secure the kill, claim the drops.

The side that controls the encounter and completes the Epic Raid Boss kill takes the Epic drops.

05

The encounter has a hard time limit.

If the Epic Raid Boss is not defeated before the maximum encounter time, it despawns and the raid ends without a kill.

05 / RANKING

EVERY POINT.
MATTERS.

The ranking system turns competitive performance into visible progression through public standings, personal statistics and recent match history.

05.01

Ranking overview.

Dedicated ranking panels let players follow the ladder, inspect their recent results and review current-season performance from one connected interface.

05.02

Rating.

Your Rating reflects more than the final result.

Winning matters, but so does the way you contributed to the match. Objective play, role performance and team contribution all influence how much Rating you gain or lose.

A strong performance can increase the value of a win, reduce the impact of a defeat, or even make the difference in a draw. Simply being on the winning team is not enough to climb efficiently.

Main ranked modes contribute to your ranked Rating and Overall Standing. Deathmatch remains separate and does not affect the competitive ladder.

Players who abandon their role through prolonged inactivity are heavily penalized and can lose Rating regardless of the match result.

05.03

Seasons & rewards.

Competition on Black is divided into 14-day Seasons.

DAY 01 Fresh ladder
DAY 14 Final standings locked
NEXT SEASON The race restarts

Each Season is a new race for the top of the ladder. Compete in ranked events, build your Rating and climb the Overall Standings before the Season reaches its end.

When a Season closes, the final standings are locked and preserved. A new Season then begins with a fresh competitive ladder, while your Lifetime profile continues to reflect your long-term performance across Black.

The highest-ranked players earn increasingly valuable seasonal rewards, with the strongest rewards reserved for those who finish at the very top.

Beyond the rewards themselves, top placements carry visible prestige into the following Season — a lasting mark of achievement until a new group of players claims the highest positions.
